AIAA SF at the Giants Game this Saturday

Yes, the AIAA San Francisco Section is going to the baseball game this Saturday, August 29, featuring the San Francisco Giants vs Colorado Rockies at AT&T Park. These group tickets are sold out. BUT, if you are a ticket holder, how are you going to find your fellow section members?

Here is an update from section programs director Sylvee Walenczewski on the "game plan" for the game:

August 29th
  • Get on Caltrain # 437. (Get on at any station most convenient for you.)
  • Go to the second car. Meet me and other people going to game.
  • Get off at AT&T Park stop.
  • Walk to Palomino Restaurant/Bar.
  • Leave Palomino at 5:40.
  • Walk to AT&T Park.
  • Enjoy the game!
After the game, we have several options. We can walk around and find restaurant/bars. I’m excited!

Stanford Aero/Astro Research Poster Session

This announcement comes to us from our friends at Stanford University.

Stanford AIAA/SASS (American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Stanford Aerospace and Space Society) is happy to announce:

What: The 2009 AIAA Stanford Aero/Astro Independent Research Poster Session
When: Wednesday October 7th, 2009
Where: First floor patio Durand Building
Time: 3 - 5:30 pm

Master's/pre-quals level students present a poster on their recent research projects (such as an AA290, Independent research, or summer internship project). Students from all departments are welcome to participate as long as the research is Aero/Astro related. The main goal is to have an interdisciplinary poster session where students and porofessors from different Departments and Labs can interact and discuss on-going research at Stanford.

Everyone is welcome to attend!
